Alive and Kicking
Alive & Kicking is a registered charity that makes cheap, tough, repairable footballs, netballs and volleyballs using African skills and African leather. Each carries a message about HIV/AIDS, malaria or TB. They employ over 150 Stitchers across three countries and have produced over 200,000 balls which have been donated to children across Africa. www.aliveandkicking.org.za

Ikamva Labantu
Ikamva Labuntu is an organisation that helps thousands of people in need in South Africa. It builds and supports crèches, schools, senior and youth centres, programmes for the disabled, skills training and building initiatives. ForwardSlash sponsored 7 programmes: training for the youth, adopting a patient, and adopting grandparents, supporting each of these initiatives for a year.

IBUYAMBO (meaning back to your roots and inner self) HIV and AIDS FORUM, is a non-profit, non-partisan, non-governmental organisation which operates in the Dunoon semi-urban area of Cape Town. We sponsored 39 children, providing clothing, food, learning materials and school supplies.
